As part of Smart Moves’ continued seminar series, the next HSC seminars begin in January 2012.

These seminars will get you back into shape after your long summer holidays!

Who should attend?
Year 12 students.

Dates:
Beginning January 2012. One seminar consists of two consecutive mornings, each with a two hour session:

  • Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th – 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • Monday 16th & Tuesday 17th – 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • Thursday 26th & Friday 27th – 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • Monday 30th & Tuesday 31st – 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • What do they consist of?

  • Day 1: Skills – exploring the syllabus, what is “Belonging”, Belonging texts & how to study them, essay & creative writing skills.
  • Day 2: Guided tour of your HSC Paper 1 exam – detailed investigation of the three sections, including short practical sessions.
  • (OPTIONAL) Mock Exam to be sat at a later date. Marking of this optional exam is included in the total price.
  • What will I learn?
    In these seminars you will learn to understand and use the HSC syllabus, what “Belonging” means and how to write a Belonging essay. Further, you will learn the strategy of study and how to prepare for an exam, how to recognise and handle stress, as well as how to effectively manage your time before an exam.

    Cost:
    $150 for both days and the optional exam. We do offer a multiple attendance discount, meaning that all subsequent January seminars are discounted to $100.
